Doctor Visit

I have a friend who had to go to the doctor a few weeks ago. This was because out of nowhere he began to have bad pains and was none stop vomiting. Also felt really weak so I scheduled an appointment with a physician to check him out.
Transcript is as follows:
**Dr: So how we doing today Mr. Struly?? (followed by firm hand-shake).
**Lawrence: I just haven’t had any energy as of late. Been vomiting and feel extremely weak, I’m a bit nervous because I feel that I’m an overall healthy man.
**Dr: Ok, well we pulled your blood, urine and also saliva… (stops talking mid sentence, & now has a shocking look on his face).
**Lawrence: Is everything ok sir???
**Dr: Mr. Struly, lemme ask you a question, how would you explain your sex life???
**Lawrence: I’m sorry I’m a bit confused as to where we’re going with this, do I have an STD????
**Dr: You don’t have an STD, but you do have toxins in your body that have been transmitted through sex. So again Mr. Struly, I ask how is your sex life???
**Lawrence: I mean I think it’s average, about 3-4 days a week. I don’t have multiple partners though. Does my girlfriend have something that I don’t know about???
**Dr: Mr. Struly… I feel compelled to tell you that I served in the Navy, for 13 years. Then I got out and became a physician, now being that you were prior military, I feel I can speak to you this way.
**Lawrence: I’m sorry sir, I’m confused can you just tell me what the deal is please. I’m internally freaking out here…
**Dr: (Rolls eyes and mummers… fucking Marines) Ok Mr. Struly, when we partake in oral, sometimes we forget that there are toxins that have to exit our bodies. Some of these very toxins are microscopic and we’re not to ingest these things as they can do damage to our bodies because they carry bacteria.
**Lawrence: Ok, so  you’re saying I don’t have an STD but I have some form of bacteria from oral??
**Dr: Jesus fuck son!!!!
I’m trying to explain this shit but you’re not getting it…  Alright how bout this STOP EATING YOUR GIRLFRIENDS ASSHOLE!!! that’s why you got sick. There is microscopic bacteria, that lies there even after washing ourselves.
**Lawrence: So what do I do about this sir???
**Dr: Refrain from eating asshole Mr. Struly, and gargle a few times a day with listerine. You’ll be back to normal in a few days Marine.
**Lawrence: Thank you sir, (gives Lawrence a firm handshake & walks out w/ a smile)
So I’m sitting next to Lawrence thinking to myself would I have taken the ass chewing as well as he did simply because the physician announced he was prior military???
Would I have acted different if a normal civilian spoke to me like this??
I cant really say to be honest, the only thing I could do was ask Lawrence how he was feeling. He replies by stating the only thing he kept thinking to himself was “damn babe has bacteria… but how, her pussy and ass taste like strawberry gum drops”
How is this so…

Military Pay Increase Dropped

Senate had a plan to boost military pay for next year, as well as increasing the end strength of all armed forces. This failed again all because of funding.
military122214.jpg
The Senate included a 1.6 percent pay raise for all troops next year and billions in new equipment purchases. Republicans feel that the total is still short of what is needed to ensure force readiness for troops.
Apr_11_Congress.jpg
Democrats in the Senate insisted that a proposal by Sen. John McCain, to add $18 billion to the defense funding plan also be offset by an equal amount of nonmilitary spending. This includes money for cybersecurity efforts, U.S. border security, drug abuse assistance programs etc.
images.jpg
McCain, chairman of the committee, said the funding shortfall for the military poses a national security threat. McCains amendment would have spent the $18 billion on a 2.1 percent pay raise for troops and a boost in Army end strength by 15,000. The other services also would have seen smaller personnel adds, and billions more in new ships and aircraft.
military_spending.jpg
If we oppose extra money, we vote in favor of another year where the pay for our troops does not keep pace with inflation or private-sector averages. We'd be voting in favor of cutting more troops at a time when the operational requirements of our nation’s land forces are growing.
We always hear people say they love the military, everybody loves the military...  Here is the thing though, your love doesn’t help them. Your love doesn’t do or buy anything. If you love these men and women, you will adequately fund their needs in order for them to properly protect us as we walk around in a nonchalant manner like other groups aren't out here trying to hurt us.

Name Change Coming Soon

Representative Walter Jones, of North Carolina, is hoping to get congress to back him yet again. Jones wants to re-designate the Department of the Navy as the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps. It’s said that the change would affect department titles, such as Navy secretary.
The push to rename the Navy Department has has been ongoing since 2001. It’s been shut down every time it makes its way through the House of Senate. Jones spoke to Marine Corps Times and felt optimistic that the effort would pass however, he is always ready to continue the fight if need be.o-WALTER-JONES-TAYLOR-GRIFFIN-facebook.jpgRep. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C.
Many are curious if this is the year that Jones will win. He has support in the halls of congress. 98% of the House supported the bill in 2008, while 80% supported a companion bill. In 2010 the House set a record of 400 plus co-sponsors.

Honorable Mention
Marine Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Ermey has been rather outspoken on this particular topic.maxresdefault.jpg“When we die, when mama and dada get that letter of condolence, it would be kind of nice if the Marine Corps was mentioned.”
department-of-the-navy-us-marine-corps-seal-plaque-l_2.jpg
“These young men and women are fighting and losing their lives for this country. We aren’t asking for our own department. We are reasonable people. We are just asking for an honorable mention.”
Numbers Never Lie
In 2013 the Congressional Budget Office determined the cost change to the name of the department would be less than $500,000.00 a year. This is of course over a figure calculated over several years.
The Marine Corps considers their birth certificate to be Continental Congress resolution penned November 10th 1775. Congress made the Marine Corps an organization in 1798, this was the same year the Navy Department was founded.

Pay Raise/Drawdown For Military

Good day everyone,
So I've gotten word from a few Marines that we're getting a raise. The number seems to be 1.6 percent, while others say 2.1 percent. There will also be a boost of military end strength of 27,000.
Congress reached a budget deal with the White House last year. From there the defense spending bill was set to $580 billion.
** Pay Raise
The pay raise matches the expected jump in private sector jobs for 2017. It actually goes against the the White House's plan for a 1.6 percent increase next year.
Lawmakers feel there is a possibility for the president to override the higher figure. It is also thought that the president would go with the Pentagons preferred raise.
A 1.6 percent pay raise in 2017 would be the highest for troops since 2013. It would also continue a six year continuation of military pay hikes below 2.0 percent. Defense officials are rather ok with the lower than expected raise. It will save the department more than $300 million in 2017, that's equivalent to $2.2 billion for the next five years.
It's said that lower level troops, will see bigger salaries starting January of 2017. 1.6 percent raise is an increase of $400.00 yearly for enlisted, and up to $1500.00 for officers.  Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 4.48.56 PMThe difference in the pay plans will have a major effect on families finances. The gap within the White House pay raise plan as well as the 2.1 percent boost for those of E-4 rank with three years service will be about $130.00 a year. An E-7 with 10 years will be about $220.00.
Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 4.48.36 PMMilitary pay wont keep up with private sector wages and cost. Advocates predict that the pay gap between civilian paychecks and military salaries will increase to 5% if this plan with the White House actually becomes law.
** End strength
The U.S. Marine Corps, Army, Air Force will all see end strength boosts over current levels.
Under the House plan, Army end strength will increase from 475,000 to 480,000 soldiers. Many have scrutinized the drawdown, saying the military will be potentially unprepared.
Our brothers in the Marine Corps will increase by 1,000 troops under the House, rather than dropping from 184,000 to 182,000 under White House proposals. Air Force will increase by 285 individuals rather than drop nearly 4000 to 317,000.
Navy is expected to drop from 329,000 to 322,900 by fall of 2017.
Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 3.28.26 PM
**Lawmakers
There is also a Pentagon-led overhaul of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. This includes changes that expand the statute of limitations for child abuse offenses.
Screen Shot 2016-04-19 at 4.57.04 PMChanges are also in effect for the code. This includes improper use of government computers and even more penalties for individuals who victimize recruits and trainees.
A provision was included to develop more advanced personal protective equipment systems. This includes gender-appropriate sizing of body armor.
Language  was added which would allow Women Airforce Service Pilots. Who served honorably during World War II, to have their remains buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
The full House is expected to vote on the authorization bill early May. Senate lawmakers are expected to offer their first drafts of the legislation around the same time. (should be interesting)
Leaders from both chambers have shown optimism due to a final authorization bill being sent to the president before the end of the fiscal year. (Sept. 30) However, that has only happened a few times in the last three decades.

Marine Expeditionary Unit

Marines are first to fight, we know this, we’ve heard this time after time for years. You ever wonder why though?? its because of our culture and because we maintain a forward-deployed presence near various global hotspots.
The Marine Corps’ forward presence consists of many Marine Expeditionary Units, or MEUs. MEUs spend six months training for a variety of amphibious operations before they are deployed. Marine Expeditionary Units embark on United States Navy warships, and prepare to launch missions. This could be humanitarian missions, peacekeeping missions or combat engagements, this is however, on extremely short notice.

Marine Corps Dog Receives Award

Good day everyone, so today we’ll speak about our furry friend Lucca.Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 3.07.18 PMShe’s a 12 year old German Shepherd, who won the Dickin Medal. This is equivalent to the Victoria Cross, which is a decoration for ones bravery.
Lucca is the first animal to receive this great honor.Lucca with her PDSA Dickin Medal.png
The award was presented by the PDSA, a veterinarian charity that is not connected with military. Lucca was nominated for the Dickin Medal by Marines.
Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 3.24.27 PM.png
Lucca saved thousands of troops, and also takes credit for never having a casualty on her patrols. On Lucca’s final patrol in Afghanistan, she found a 30 pound improvised explosive device. During her pursuit to find more she was injured and lost her front left leg as an IED was detonated.Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 3.14.42 PM
Tuesdays ceremony was attended with the owner whom is no other than Gunnery Sergeant Christopher Willingham.Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 3.14.27 PMLucca, was injured while on patrol with her other handler, Cpl. Juan Rodriguez, in Afghanistan’s Helmand province in March 2012.
“The explosion was huge and I immediately feared the worst for Lucca,” Rodriguez said in a statement. “I ran to her and saw her struggling to get up. I picked her up and ran to the shelter of a nearby tree line, applied a tourniquet to her injured leg and called the medics to collect us.”Screen Shot 2016-04-06 at 3.07.02 PMLucca was evacuated to Germany and then to California’s Camp Pendleton. Rodriguez stayed near her through each stage of recovery — even choosing to sleep side-by-side some nights.
We thank you for your bravery Lucca, may the remainder of your life be well.
